Frank A. Wenstrom papers, 1964, 1971-1972.

Papers consist of Wenstrom's files relating to service as President of the 1971-1972 Constitutional Convention. Included are committee minutes and reports, correspondence, memos, notes, newsletters, journals, programs, photographs, publications, and a file containing letters, speeches, photos, and newspaper clippings is included during Lt. Governor Wentstroms visit to the Worlds Fair. March 12, 2008 accession consists of Wenstrom's records as a state Legislator, news clippings, campaign photographs of President Ronald Reagan, Governor Edward "Ed" Schafer and the 1992 Republican Convention. Also included is an autographed 8-track cassette of Myron Floren, a small ink drawing of the North Dakota State Capitol by Bismarck artist Nellie Solberg and a Needlecrafts magazine from 1930. Materials date from 1930 to 2000.

Frank Wenstrom was born in Dover ND on July 27, 1903. After graduating from Carrington High School, he spent several years farming. Wenstrom worked in the oil business in Carrington, beginning in 1933. In 1938, he married Esther Pickett and moved to Williston, where he continued his work in the oil business. In 1945, he became Secretary-Manager for the Williston Chamber of Commerce. From 1951-1960, Wenstrom worked as the Public Relations officer at the First National Bank of Williston. He won hi...
